When selecting grease, the following factors are usually considered:
Temperature: temperature has a great influence on grease. If the ambient mechanical operating temperature is high, high temperature resistant grease should be used.
Rotating speed: the temperature of high-speed running parts is high fast, which is easy to make the grease thin lose, so the thicker grease should be used.
Load: since the size of grease penetration is related to the load that can be borne during use, if the load is large, the grease with low permeability (high consistency) should be selected; the grease with extreme pressure additives, such as the grease with molybdenum disulfide.
Special parts requirements: according to the different working environment of the machine. Grease with strong water resistance should be selected in humid environment. Thick grease containing graphite should be selected in dusty environment; basic grease should be selected in acid environment; if there are special requirements for sealing, barium grease should be used.
How to store grease?
Grease is a kind of colloid, its structure will be affected by various external factors in the process of use storage.
When stored in the warehouse, the temperature shall be higher than 35 ℃, the packaging container shall be sealed, shall leak water foreign impurities.
Do leave holes in the packaging barrel after opening the barrel to take out the sample product. The surface of the lubricating grease after sampling shall be polished to prevent pitting, otherwise the base oil will be squeezed infiltrated into the sample due to natural gravity.
